FRAME MATERIALS

Stainless steal

Stainless steel is a corrosion-resistant alloy made primarily of iron, with a minimum of 10.5% chromium content by mass. The chromium helps form a protective layer of chromium oxide on the surface, preventing rust and other forms of corrosion.

Care instructions: The stainless steel frames can be easily cleaned with a non-abrasive, commercially available stainless steel cleaning agent. Please note that this cleaning agent must not contain hydrochloric acid.

Stainless steel look
Stainless steel look is a nickel-plated, brushed metal.

Care instructions: Clean with a dry cleaning cloth. Do not use rough cloths or pads moistened with scouring fleece, as this could scratch the sanding pattern.

Caring for Frames – Durability Meets Elegance

Effortless Maintenance
Frames made of stainless steel or powder-coated finishes in black anthracite and choco are designed for lasting durability and style. To keep them looking pristine, simply wipe the surface with a damp cloth. For tougher dirt, mild soapy water can be used. Avoid abrasive cleaners to protect the finish and maintain the frame’s smooth appearance.

Natural Patina Over Time
Powder-coated frames are resistant to wear but may develop a subtle patina over time, adding character without affecting their strength. Stainless steel frames boast excellent resistance to corrosion, ideal for long-term use, even in challenging environments.

Protecting Your Frames
While highly durable, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or standing water to maintain the integrity of the coating or steel. With proper care, these frames retain their elegance and functionality for years to come.

Powder coating

Powder coating is a finishing process where a dry powder is applied to the surface of chair legs and then heated to form a durable, protective layer. The powder is typically made of a mixture of fine particles of resin and pigments, which are electrostatically applied to the metal surface. After application, the coated legs are cured in an oven at high temperatures, causing the powder to melt, flow, and bond with the metal, creating a smooth, hard finish.
The benefits of powder coating include increased resistance to scratches, chips, fading, and corrosion.

Care instructions:

Powder-coated chair legs should be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild soap solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads to prevent damage. Dry the surface immediately after cleaning. For tougher stains, use a gentle cleaner designed for powder-coated surfaces. Keep away from harsh chemicals and consider applying a protective wax occasionally to maintain the finish.
